team nuun athlete

sport: running

I am an elite 800m runner aspiring to represent Canada at the 2016 Olympics. I currently live and train in Vancouver, BC. I am a two-time NCAA div.II 800m champion and NAIA 800m record holder. I was the 2011 Canadian 800m champion and have represented Canada internationally at the 2011 and 2013 World University Games.Outside of athletics, I work as an Academic Advisor at Simon Fraser University. I work with student-athletes, which I really enjoy as I understand the challenge of balancing your time between a busy athletic schedule and school, and strongly value education. In Vancouver I am engaged in the large running community. I work with the Jerome Outreach Society to coach track and field in elementary schools with children who may not otherwise have the opportunity to access extracurricular sports. During my off season, I try to spend as much time in the wilderness as possible and am an avid hiker/backpacker. Nuun products have been great to bring on these forays into the wild!
