Running found me shortly after high school when I was transitioning into adulthood and no longer playing soccer. I needed an outlet and a way to stay active. Running has been a constant in my life ever since, nearly 20 years now! It allows me to clear my head and sort through all of the things occupying too much space. It helps me set a good example for my children, both of whom have followed in my footsteps and are budding runners. It creates a constructive way for me to nurture my competitive side. And it makes me a more balanced and joyful wife and mom.
