A life long athlete I have always been active starting with soccer and moving to track and field in high school and university in 1997, retiring in 2005. In 2006, due to medical complications related to Multiple Sclerosis I lost the use of my legs and had to re-learn to walk. Since January 2013 I have been training in a bid to represent Canada at the 2016 Paralympics.
Member Team Canada at the 2015 ParaPan Am Games (Gold in Shot Put and Silver Medal in Discus) , and 2015 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) World Championships (4th place finish- women's F37/38 discus throw).
