Describe a little about your role with the Sounders:
This is my third year, I joined halfway through the inaugural season because I stayed to graduate from school and then came in June or July, so I have been out here for a little over 2 years. I play forward, and usually I play up top with either Fredy Montero or Nate Jaqua, not as much with Brian White...Read More
Hey Nuun super-fans! It’s athlete ambassador Mike Gore checking in after a crazy Race Across America experience. [caption id="attachment_539" align="alignleft" width="145" caption="Nuun ambassador Mike Gore"][/caption] Just over two weeks ago, I was loading vans and an RV with a bunch of people who were essentially strangers. Currently, I’m sitting at home in Seattle, missing most of the crew and riders I became so close to over the journey. Our team (Team RWB) covered 3,010 miles of road with over 130,000 feet of climbing in 7 days and twelve hours. For reference, that’s 1,000 miles longer than the Tour de France in about one third of the...Read More
For those of you who don’t know- there is running and then there is Relay Running. This ‘hipster cousin’ of the running world is rapidly gaining in popularity. The Hood to Coast Relay is one of the most highly sought after entries out there. What more could you ask for than stunning scenery, sweaty people in a van together for 24 hours, running in the dark with a headlamp and head-to-toe reflectors, tomfoolery galore (and maybe some singing?) before a dramatic finish on Oregon coast, and a giant party on the beach all with your new friends at Nuun? Not much we...Read More
VANCOUVER -- The Boston Bruins capped pick-your-hero night last week with a Stanley Cup celebration. Nuun ambassador Andrew Ference has been training and competing with Nuun during the 2010 season as have two players from the Canucks, Ryan Kesler and Kevin Bieksa. It was the 118th year of the Stanley Cup's presentation. As the entire Nuun staff watched in antuipation the Eastern Conference Champion Boston Bruins defeated the Western Conference Champion Vancouver Canucks four games to three. The Bruins ended a 39-year Stanley Cup drought with the win. Either way Nuun would have a Stanley cup champion (or two) but during the...Read More

Then, in "Team Effort," Runner's World writer and Team In Training participant John Brant chronicles his TNT experience with the Portland chapter while celebrating his colleagues -- from Coaches Julie Hoffman and Karl Johnson, to Team Captain Kevin Tangen to fundraising star Tam...Read More

Nuun Ambassador Hailey Manning Shares her Wildflower Triathlon Experience: Car-camping, Fried Chicke
I was SO excited for Wildflower weekend this year after missing it last year for Ironman St George. I am training for Ironman Texas on May 21st, so there would be no taper, only a few days of rest before Saturday. This meant I had set no expectations for myself as the field at Wildflower is always stacked with some of the best competitors from around the country…case in point, the podium ended up being from Washington, Idaho, California, Utah and Colorado and I think we might have had a Nuun athlete from every single state participating! Having zero expectations is always good as...Read More
