We're proud to welcome International athlete Christy Mata to the Nuun family! Christy is a 26 year old from Panama who recently entered the amateur triathlon world. Christy is having a great season so far, and we wish her much luck in Las Vegas and Kona!A bit about Christy: Christy is a lawyer but wanted to try something new so started casually doing racing in Panama. But she quickly fell in love with it and decided to challenge herself in her first international race in 2010 in Pucon. Her first year was overwhelmingly great; she qualified for the World Championships! But in 2011 she hit a wall while living in Switzerland. She felt out of place, worn down and was missing her career back home. So she returned to Panama and regained the motivation she had been missing. In her own inspiring words, "2010 gave me the wings, 2011 gave me the strength and 2012 gives me hope. There is always a place for your dreams to come true…NEVER GIVE UP!"
