This past weekend, Team Nuun Energy won their third-straight Ragnar Chicago and set a new course record - 18:42! Meet the team that was last to start and first to finish.

Living History Farms in Urbandale, IA 
If you could run any race in the world, what would it be? 
I’d love to run in the Olympics some day. Could care less on the distance.

4:30. I like the marathon more.

I once raced a 5k race in a zoo in Jakarta (the capital of Indonesia) while the zoo was open to the public. Quite interesting, racing past tigers and the like.

I want to give the Pikes Peak Marathon a try sometime.

I’ve seen a lot of good ones but it’s hard to remember them all. One I remember is “Hurry up, the beer is getting cold!” 
Where is the craziest location you’ve ever raced? 
Living History Farms XC race in Urbandale, IA. 
If you could run any race in the world, what would it be? 
If I were good enough to complete the Leadville 100 or Western States, that would be a big accomplishment and story to tell.

I love Lemon Tea, but now that it’s retired, probably Lemon-Lime. 
What’s the most Nuun you’ve consumed in one race or training session? 
Half a tube. 
What’s the funniest cheer sign you’ve seen? 
Run for beer (or any variation of signs that involve both running and alcohol) 
Where is the craziest location you’ve ever raced? 
This past spring, I ran a race called Mediasan do Camiño. It followed the last 21km of the Camino de Santiago, an ancient pilgrimage route (still in use today!) and ended in front of the centuries old Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. 
If you could run any race in the world, what would it be? 
I’d run the Olympic Games Half Marathon. I’d be pretty stoked if I’d ever be in a position to run that.

What’s your favorite flavor of Nuun? 
I don’t have a particular favorite. If I had to choose, I’d say Fruit Punch. 
What’s the most Nuun you’ve consumed in one race or training session? 
This easily happens at Ragnar every year. I have one immediately after each run, then I’ll sip on another 1-2 in the approximately 6 hours in-between leg. 
What’s the funniest cheer sign you’ve seen? 
I always enjoy the “X miles to beer!” 
Where is the craziest location you’ve ever raced? 
Call it a cop-out, but I’m going to go with Ragnar Chicago. I’ve run Boston 4 times and it is truly special. That is without question the best race. But the craziest race is Ragnar. There’s something about a 12 person 300 mile relay. 
If you could run any race in the world, what would it be? 
Every world marathon major. I enjoy the big races more than the destination races. 
What’s your fastest mile time? 
4:31 on the road.
