I impulsively signed up for my first half marathon after ordering three desserts (after a full meal) at a restaurant. I was not a runner, and was not "sporty" in school. But I set some goals, and with the help of friends and got up to some adventures. I've run the BMO Vancouver Marathon twice, a bunch of half marathons, two Gran Fondo Whistler (122km uphill!), a sprint and standard distance triathlon (both in ocean water -- the SCARIEST!), and completed Ironman Calgary this year. I have my sights set on a 50km and a full Ironman, so I look forward to achieving those goals.
