i started running in 2002 as a freshman in high school and ran cross country at the university of vermont for four years. running took on a new meaning after my mom passed away in 2006. since then it has taken me around the world, including a marathon in rome, a spring of training in spain, and three years in dc where i coached (and trained with) an amazing group of high school track and cross country athletes. i am now back in vermont with a brand new baby and am working as a high school science teacher. i have completed 9 marathons (including a pregnant run at boston in 2015) and include yearly half marathons and 5ks. this sport has given me incredible experience and brought amazing people into my life (including my husband). my day doesn't feel complete unless i lace up my shoes and hit the roads.
