I returned to running about 4 years ago, first on the road then very soon afterward trying trail running with the encouragement of friends. Since the first day I was hooked even though I barely made it up any of the hills without walking. Now I average in the middle of the pack and have just finished the 2015 season with 7 half marathon distance trail races. The local Running Room Store has begun a trail running night which I lead, tailoring the runs to fit those in attendance weekly. My own runs are split between 3 running groups for the social excitement and some solo time each week.
It has been an accomplishment for me to: 1) start running again 2) lose 20lbs in the process 3)go from 5kms - to 25km+ race distances 4)continuing to get faster each year 2015 - Placed 2nd AG Interior Running Association Road Series, 1st AG IRA Trails Series, 2nd Overall Female TNF Dirty Feet Trail Series
