I'm a husband and father of 4, and I do most of my running on the trails around the small town that I live in, Brighton ON. I started running regularly about 8 years ago to try to get fit, and quickly caught the marathon bug. For several years, my running focus was entirely on getting to the Boston Marathon, and I qualified in 2012 & 2013, and ran the Boston Marathon in 2014. Once that goal was reached, I changed my focus to where I really love running, which is trails.
As mentioned above, I ran in the Boston Marathon in 2014. Since then, I have focused on trails. Over the past couple of years I have regularly been on the podium for my age group in snowshoe and trail races, placed 2nd overall at the 2014 Conconcheage 50K, 3rd in my age group at the 2014 Ultra Trail Harricana 65K. 2015 was not a great year for my running due to injury. I competed at the Cayuga Trails 50 Mile, and finished in 10:29. I always ran at the Ultra Trail Harricana 125km, but had to drop out due to injury. I also am the co race director for 2 snowshoe races in the Dion Snowshoes Eastern Ontario Series.
