I have a need to be in motion. Starting my day off with yoga, a run or a swim feels so right to me. Keeping an active lifestyle is a goal of mine and some recent training for my first marathon is reinvigorating my love for being in training and achieving fitness goals. My recent 200-hour yoga teacher certification has allowed me to connect even more with my body. I continue to learn how to best push and take care of my body, and how to help others do the same. I believe health is wealth and I am grateful each and every day that I can use my body physically, and learning to take care of myself has proven to be a lifelong skill that will allow me to achieve my goals.
I ran cross country at Rice University my freshman year when I walked onto the cross-country team. I now currently run consistently and am training for the Houston Marathon in January 2016. This past spring (2015), I completed my 200-hour yoga training with a Baptiste affiliated studio in Houston. I currently teach yoga at least twice a week.
