sport: Triathlon
I started running with my husband about 6 years ago when we were married. Since then I also started competing in triathlons. Training for triathlons and running races is more than a hobby; for me, it's a lifestyle. I love it. I love how it makes me feel. Whether trail running, riding my road bike outside, going hiking or backpacking or hitting the velodrome to do some track cycling, I love getting out and being active. I like continually pushing myself to improve myself. I've been fortunate enough to see my times improve and still have a great time doing all the training and racing. I've been able to podium a few times in local races, even finishing as the first woman in a running race and a triathlon this year. I have a full 2015 schedule planned, which also includes my first full Ironman 140.6 race in Chattanooga. I'll also be doing two Ironman 70.3 races, a few Olympic distance triathlons as well as running races throughout the year (5Ks, 10Ks and half marathons).
