Let what you do be what you love. Katie has spent the last 10 years working in the fitness industry in Maryland, Florida, and now California. She specializes in group fitness instruction and run coaching. She splits her time between teaching fitness classes, head coaching and coordinating training programs for her local running store, completing her own marathon training, and enjoying time at the beach and in the forest with her husband and 2 dogs. Katie is certified in multiple fitness programs including strength training, indoor cycling, high intensity interval training and yoga, and has found her adult passion in long distance running. She trains running groups to complete distances ranging from 5Ks to marathons, on the road, track and trails, and designs cross training, speed and strength programs specifically for runners. Katie is currently training for the 2016 Boston Marathon and the 2016 Big Sur Marathon (the Boston to Big Sur Challenge).
To date, I have completed over 30 races, 12 half marathons and 4 full marathons, earning age group awards in many of them and BQs in my last 2 marathons. I am currently training for the 2016 Boston Marathon and the 2016 Big Sur Marathon (the Boston to Big Sur Challenge). I teach about 10 fitness classes a week including Spin, HIIT and Body Pump, and lead run groups twice a week.
