sport: Running

I did my first marathon at 17 in my last week of high school. I signed up for it untrained the day before the race. Needless to say, it was a bloodbath and I pretty much gave up on running after that. As I was closing in on my tenth anniversary of my marathon, I decided to start training and do the same marathon again (San Diego Rock N Roll). I started training, fell completely in love with running, and basically cannot keep myself from signing up for races now. I use my day job (commercial real estate broker/attorney) to sponsor my career in running (who says you need an actual sponsor?!). And basically sign up and travel to as many races as I can without being fired from my day job. I am training for an Ironman and to qualify for Boston this year and did my first triathalon this last March (Ironman 70.3 Oceanside).

I have qualified for the Boston marathon twice this year (after coming back from illness last year and running little miles) I have done Ironman Oceanside 70.3 I also won second in my age group in the Tijuana International Half Marathon My greatest athletic accomplishments, though, are still to come. wink
