sport: Triathlon

I am a 26 year old elite amateur triathlete based out of Columbus, Ohio. I am a school teacher, teaching junior high robotics at Pickerington Ridgeview STEM Junior High (it's a sweet class!). I graduated from The Ohio State University in 2012 with my teaching license and master's of education degree. I began in competing in the sport of triathlon at the age of 17. I have since been a two-time USA Triathlon National Runner-Up (2009 and 2013) in both olympic and sprint distance. Recently, I finished in 3rd place at the ITU World Championships. I love the sport of triathlon because hard work is the biggest indicator of success.... the harder you work, the faster you get. My quote to live by is "Be better than yesterday."
