Holiday Gift Guide: The Cyclist

As we move into the final stretch of holiday shopping, Hydration HQ is excited to share our favorite cycling gear! For those still shopping around: you’re sure to find the perfect gift below. And if you’ve wrapped up your holiday gifting: we suggest bookmarking this guide and sending it to all the shopping procrastinators in your life. (for the runner in your life, check out our favorite run gear!)

Nuun Electrolytes: Our flagship product is the ultimate cyclist gift this holiday season. Electrolytes provides the perfect combination of electrolytes to replenish depleted minerals and hydration from a workout. Bonus points: the compact Nuun tube design makes long-ride storage a non issue.

Health warrior bars: The cyclists of Hydration HQ love to stash away Health Warrior chia seed energy bars for their long rides. The bars are our go-to snack for before, during or after a workout. We have yet to find a flavor that we don’t enjoy. Health warrior’s new pumpkin seed superfood bar is also a delicious snack to keep energy high during the day!

Hand Up gloves: Our cyclo-cross fanatics are crazy about Hand Up gloves! Nuunies rave about the minimalist style, unique designs, and “nearly foolproof hand-up technology.” Because nobody enjoys a spilled beer, and everyone can appreciate bold funky designs, hand up has our vote for the ultimate cyclo-cross race and performance glove.

Velotoze: When the weather turns sour, Velotoze has got you covered. No literally, road biking has never been cleaner than with the use of Velotoze products. This is a thoughtful gift for a road cyclist who is training through the muddy, rainy, less-than-ideal-weather-conditions winter season, and could use a little extra coverage on the road. Velotoze makes waterproof, lightweight, and aero shoe & helmet covers that provide coverage from the elements.

Light and Motion Urban: Road safety is no joke, and the Light and Motion Urban is our go-to bike light to ensure visibility on the roadway. This super lightweight technology can be mounted (tool-free, yay!) To both handlebars and helmets. We love that the light is easily chargeable by micro-usb, so commuters can make sure that their road safety lights are fueled up during the work day before they hit the roads for their evening commutes.

Chrome Truk Pro Bike Shoe: The ultimate gift for any city commuter, Chrome Truk Pro Bike Shoesprovide clip-in capabilities, while maintaining a fashionable, no-nonsense look. The flat-bottomed sneakers can be worn in the office and around town all day long. When rush hour hits, the same shoes easily clip into your bike pedals, and you’re on the way home in no time!

The Athletic Socks: The Athletic got its start as a sock company based out of Portland, Oregon. It has since won over the hearts and wallets of our most enthusiastic cyclists at Hydration HQ. This performance sock debuted with a unique design that mimics the pattern in the PDX airport carpet, and has since applied the same design sentiment to other regional products. We’re stocked up on our Seatac Airport Carpet Socks here in Seattle!

Spur Cycle bell: The Spur Cycle bell is a thoughtful gift for any cyclist in your life. This handlebar bell delivers the most delightful “ding” on the road (need proof? Listen here!). Plus, nothing quite says, “I love you” like the gift of road safety.

Rapha vest: The Brevet insulated vest from Rapha is a guaranteed hit this year. This vest is equal parts lightweight and warm for cooler-weather rides. The breathable cycling vest provides aero, water-resistant functionality on the road while also dropping some major style points.
